Best Treatment….?

My friend’s mother is 50 years ancient and she has an extremely itchy outside rectum. What’s the best treatment or cure for that? She tried PREPARATION H, Anusol, Suppsitory Tablets and after a few hours, the itchiness came back. And there are no hemorrhoid problems. Thank You

Are sitz baths really all that helpful?

I’ve been readign contradicting information on the treatment of hemorrhoids lately. On the one hand, a lot of sources say that sitz baths are really helpful and they recommend doing them 2-4 times daily. On the other hand, a lot of sources say that you shouldn’t sit on the toilet for too long because that place more pressure on the hemorrhoids. I’ve been doing the baths and the latter seems to be right. I feel a lot more discomfort and the situation seems to be worsening. Am I doing anything incorrect??

bleeding hemorrhoid/anal fissure?

Over the past weekend and early in the week, I suffered from food poisoning. As a result, I now have what seems to be pretty terrible hemorrhoids/anal fissures. I haven’t looked but it seems that the entire rim of my **** is swollen. Pain is not as much of an issue, as that I can deal with, but it is the bleeding. For the past 2-3 days, it has been bleeding consistently. Not a lot on a regular basis, just more as if it is completely raw, like a terrible scrape. I’ve tried sitz baths, neosporin, ice packs, and resting on my stomach as treatment.

I haven’t looked but it seems that the entire rim of my **** is swollen. Pain is not as much of an issue, as that I can deal with, but it is the bleeding. For the past 2-3 days, it has been bleeding consistently. Not a lot on a regular basis, just more as if it is completely raw, like a terrible scrape. I’ve tried sitz baths, neosporin, ice packs, and resting on my stomach as treatment.
The pain has dramatically declined, so I have a feeling it is working somewhat, but the bleeding has not. I have yet to try Tucks pads as I have seen recommended, are they really the best way to help stop the bleeding and are there other home remedies to stop it?
Edit: I can pretty much tell the bleeding is externally and not internally as the pattern of blood spots on toilet paper matches up with swollen areas around my ****.

How often do hemorrhoids bleed?
