I think I have a hemorrhoid?

I’m 13 years ancient, and I reckon I have a hemorrhoid. I’ve researched them, because I was having the symptoms. (Itchy anus, distress going to the bathroom.) I used a mirror to check it out, and what do you know! It looks like a huge hemorrhoid to me.

I’m really frightened. I know it’s no biggie, I’m not going to die, etc. But how to I tell my mom?
“Hey mom. I have a hemorrhoid.”
Really?
I’ve heard Preparation H isn’t really treatment. It just makes the swelling go down and give instant relief. If so, how to I make it go away for excellent?

Have mom take you to the health food store for some tablets called rutin. Rutin is not a brand name, it is a product made by different companies. It comes in different strengths. Try to get one that is at least 55 mg. It doesn’t work overnight, but will give relief in a few days.
I’ve heard of people having surgery for the problem, but it is expensive and painful, and doesn’t really get to the cause of the problem. If you are overweight, losing weight can help.
This was my experience. I had surgery about a year ago. There was some pain afterward. I was off work for about a week. After about 6 months my hemorrhoids returned. I didn’t want to go through with surgery again so I tried this home treatment method and it worked fantastic. This got rid of them in about 3 days. Also a lot of information here that will answer most of your questions too.
It’s not like you “did a terrible thing” and caused the hemorrhoid! This really is something you should tell your mom about, being only thirteen.
